Terms of Service
These terms govern every order placed with GWS TCG. They are written to be read, not decoded — the short version is that we sell authentic sealed product, we ship fast, and your rights under Malaysian consumer law always come first. Last updated: 10 July 2026.
1. Who we are
GWS TCG (gwstcg.com) is a Malaysian online retailer of factory-sealed Pokémon Trading Card Game products — booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, bundles and booster packs. We do not currently sell single cards or graded items.
GWS TCG is operated by GWS TCG ENTERPRISE, a partnership registered in Malaysia under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 (SSM registration number: 202603162423 (003862471-H)), registered address Block B, Unit 16-03, Surian Residences, Jalan PJU 7/15, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. You can reach us at hello@gwstcg.com or on the WhatsApp number listed on our contact page.
These terms sit alongside — never in place of — your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, the Consumer Protection (Electronic Trade Transactions) Regulations 2012 and the Sale of Goods Act 1957. Nothing here limits any right or guarantee those laws give you.
2. Authenticity guarantee
Everything we sell is 100% authentic and factory-sealed, sourced through authorized distribution channels. We never sell resealed, weighed or otherwise tampered products. If a product we sold you is ever shown not to be authentic, we will refund you in full.
3. Prices and pricing errors
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Our prices are benchmarked against market data and can move up or down over time — the price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order. Shipping charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm the order.
Occasionally a listing carries an obvious error — a misplaced decimal point, a stock glitch, a price far below any plausible market value. We may correct such errors at any time before dispatch. If an error affects an order you have already paid for, we will contact you and you can choose between paying the corrected price or a full refund of everything you paid.
4. Orders and acceptance
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We accept that offer — and a contract is formed — when we dispatch your items to the courier or confirm they are ready for pickup. An order confirmation email is an acknowledgement, not yet an acceptance.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch where there is a stock error, a pricing error, suspected automated or bulk-buying activity, or a breach of the purchase limits in section 11. If we cancel, everything you paid — including any store credit used — is refunded in full.
5. Payment
We currently accept DuitNow and bank transfer. Payments are verified manually by our team, usually within a few hours during business hours. Card payments are coming later.
- 24-hour reservation: when you place a bank-transfer order, your items are reserved for 24 hours. If payment is not received and verified within that window, the order expires automatically and the stock is released back for sale.
- Expired orders: if an expired order was partly paid with store credit, that credit is automatically returned to your account. Any bank transfer received after expiry will be refunded or, where stock still allows, applied to a re-placed order — contact us and we will sort it out.
- Store credit: store credit in your account can pay for part or all of an order at checkout.
6. Shipping, delivery and risk
We ship within Malaysia only, through couriers booked via the Delyva network — J&T, Pos Laju, DHL eCommerce and others — or at the flat rates shown on our shipping page. West Malaysia orders above the published threshold ship free, and self-pickup is available by arrangement.
- In-stock orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours after your payment is verified.
- Every parcel is tracked, and your tracking number appears on your order page once it ships.
- Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees — courier timelines are outside our control, though we will always help you chase a delayed parcel.
- Risk in the goods passes to you when we hand the parcel to the courier; ownership passes once payment is received in full. If the parcel is damaged in transit, the claims process in section 7 still applies — you are not left carrying that risk alone.
7. Returns, damage and wrong items
We sell sealed collectibles, and a sealed product's value depends on its seal staying intact — the contents of every pack are randomized, and an opened or resealed box cannot be resold as sealed. Because of that:
- No change-of-mind returns are accepted on sealed product once it has been delivered. This is the standard across sealed-collectible retail and protects every customer from resealed stock.
- Damaged in transit or wrong item received: contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and, where possible, an unboxing video showing the parcel being opened. A continuous unboxing video is the most reliable way to verify transit damage, so please record one before opening anything.
- Valid claims are resolved with a replacement, store credit or a refund — your choice, subject to stock availability for replacements.
This policy does not reduce your statutory rights. If a product fails to meet the guarantees implied by the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or the Sale of Goods Act 1957, you are entitled to the remedies those laws provide regardless of the timelines above.
8. Pre-orders
Pre-orders are paid in full at checkout, and in return your stock is reserved from our launch-day allocation — we only list quantities we have secured. Pre-orders ship on or after the official release date.
Release dates are set by The Pokémon Company International and can shift. A delay to the official release date does not by itself entitle you to cancel — but if your pre-order has not shipped within 30 days after the last officially announced release date, you may cancel for a full refund or store credit, whichever you prefer.
9. Store credit
Store credit is tied to your account: it is non-transferable, has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where a refund in money is required by law. Credit issued as a goodwill gesture or promotional bonus may carry an expiry date, which we will state when it is issued.
10. Age
If you are under 18, you may only order with the consent of a parent or guardian. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or older, or that you have that consent.
11. Fair purchasing
We want product to reach players and collectors, not bots. So:
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be closed.
- No automated purchasing — scripts, bots or any tool that places orders faster than a human can.
- Maximum-per-order limits shown on product pages are enforced, including across split orders that are obviously one purchase.
We may cancel orders and close accounts that breach these rules. Payments for cancelled orders are refunded in full.
12. Intellectual property
Pokémon, the Pokémon TCG, and all related card images, names and logos are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. and The Pokémon Company International. GWS TCG is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Product imagery on this site is used solely to identify the genuine products we sell.
13. Our liability
If we get something wrong, our liability to you for any order is capped at the price you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost resale profit or movements in the collectible market value of a product.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law — including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the guarantees implied by the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and the Sale of Goods Act 1957.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to bring eligible claims before the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TTPM) — a low-cost avenue designed for consumers. We would rather resolve any issue directly, though: message us first and we will do our best to fix it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example when we add payment methods or product categories. The version published on this page when you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top of this page tells you when the terms last changed.
16. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues in full force.
This page is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice to GWS TCG's customers or a waiver of any statutory right.
